I purchased the shaggy angora goat on the wood mount for a gift for my neice. Loved how the wood grain comes through on the print. Excellent purchase! Would definitely purchase again.

This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.
Artist's Description
This close-up image of a pink water lily came about more or less by accident, rather than direct intent. I had gone out to a public garden to photograph water lilies, but there were a lot of leaves and other debris floating on the surface of the water. Getting a wider-angle shot would mean having a lot of floating debris in the photo, which I didn't want. So I decided to do a close-up. Although this image has a slightly soft focus, I like the asymmetrical shape that is formed by having the center of the flower at the left side of the image, while the petals reach up to the right edge of the photo. This creates a more dynamic image than if I had centered the flower in the frame.
About Karen Garvin
I've been doing photography on and off for the past 30 years or so, and I'm mostly interested in nature and architectural themes, although animals occasionally slip into the frame. I started in black-and-white film photography and learned how to do my own darkroom work. I've mostly switched to digital photography and enjoy experimenting with images. With a background in graphic arts and printing, I tend to look beyond the immediate image and try to find patterns in the world around me. Visual texture is an important element to my work, and I think that is because I still tend to think in terms of black-and-white, contrast, and the zone system.

Thanks. Jimmy.I almost threw this slide out when I saw that the focus was so soft. But I love the color. Elizabeth-Anne, College Park has so many students! The city only has about 25,000 people, but the main campus is something like 35,000-40,000 students. I attend UMUC, which is right next door.

Great shot, depth of field is wonderful. I find myself looking at the sharpness and then getting lost in the softness, Keep up the good work
