The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

A vintage map of Anderson County, South Carolina. This beautifully detailed map from the public domain was drawn by George E. Brown, lithography by Charles Hart & Sons and published by J.H. von Hasseln of Anderson, S.C. A legend references the locations of Rail Roads, Wagon Roads, Land Owners Names, Churches, Schools and more. Separate insets show detail of the cities and towns of Williamston, Honea Path, Anderson, Belton and Pendleton. A selection of insets surrounding the map advertise local businesses of the area at the time. This reproduction image has been color corrected and restored but still shows some wear and tear due to age.

I'm a travel photographer and photo artist. I like to explore every nook and cranny of anywhere I visit and I'm always looking out for something unusual or unique, weird and wonderful, interesting and intriguing. For me, half the challenge is in the initial taking of the photo, the looking for something that catches my attention, getting that perfect composition, but the other half is in the processing, the tweaking and twisting and the addition of a little imagination to see how much detail I can bring to the surface and hopefully let the viewer see the same as I did when I took the shot. My images have been shot here, there and everywhere, mainly in the historic cities of Europe and with the occasional one taken in my own surroundings...
